Is it as good as the original?

From what ive read about the changes to the plot it sounds better on paper. But im cynical about anything being remade for the youth market of today. Especialy since Michael Bay produced it, quite possibly the worst director in the word when it comes to doing ultra **** "MTV generation" **** .

if its anything like the jizzwhop remake that was Psycho... then I ain't going anywhere near it!

I've seen the trailers for the TCM remake... can't believe that they are using the original soundbites (taking photographs) in it?!?!
How cheap is that?!

the 1st texas film Bored me to tears, and so did the 2nd one! the diffrance between the two are the roles are slightly diffrent. But its more or less the same as the 1st. The ending is slightly diffrent to. But the guy who did the narration on the opening to the 1st film does it in the remake to

Remakes tend to make me angry, and this is a typical example of the lack of creativity in our society

but why remake a perfectly good film?
THis is just a personal opionon, but i thought there was absaloutly nothing wrong with the original...and therefore am totally stumped and frankly seething with rage at this

It couldn't possibly be as bad as the Psycho remake. Casting a l e s b o as the main seductive character must have been the worst casting error in cinematic history (nothing against l e s b o s or Heche, she's given some fine performances otherwise).

BTW, what do Ren?e Zellweger and Matthew McConaughey do when they are short of cash? Why, of course, make a Texas Chainsaw Massacre Sequel:
